Blog Post 3

Reflection is a big part of writing. You always have to go back and re-read and edit things before your final draft is ready. That is something that makes writing very tedious. Especially if your like me and don't like to go back and do the extra editing neccessary. I always feel like my writing is perfect when it goes on the page. Even though this is never the case for anyone. Nobody ever writes something down perfect the 1st time unless your name is Amadeus Mozart. Patience is something we all struggle with when writing. It's also something we must overcome to become better writers.

  1. I totally understand where your coming from I believe that we all over look that patience is the key to success but i must disagree with you I feel that Leonardo dvinci . I think all of his works spoke something soothing to me i must say .

  2. My biggest problem is waiting to the last minute to complete various assignments. You stated you dislike proof-reading, I simply just don't allow myself enough time to do so. Time-management is something I plan to do better.

  3. I agree with the fact that no one writes perfect the forst time they put it down. Like Ashley said DiVinci is great example! He was always revising his plans trying to improve with each test or each piece of art he completed. Mozart to, think of music. It is always changing key till it becomes perfect. It's just something we have to keep working at.

  4. Christian makes some very good points about how the masters worked at revising their works to try to get everything just right. This makes me think about the research that I discussed today in class about deliberate practice (I posted the article on the class google+ stream, in case anyone wants to read it). Good writers will tinker with a sentence to get it just right, the way Mozart tinkered with a chord or melody and da Vinci tinkered with a blueprint or sketch or painting.

  5. You'll get better at writing by just keep writing till your hands hurt (lol) and look back what you did wrong. I may just said what you said on your post, but yeah.
